St Francis Redevelopment Consultation

St Francis Catholic Primary School provides education for children aged 4 to 11 years old. The redeveloped school on this site will remain a one-form entry primary school, serving the pupils and staff. There are no plans to increase the number of school places or staff at the site.

Key objectives of the proposed development:

• Existing building replaced with a purpose-built building that motivates students and supports staff in achieving their goals.
• To provide a flexible, efficient and fully accessible building that provides a range of facilities to meet both current and future needs.
• A distinctive, modern design that sits comfortably within the landscape, respecting the surrounding architecture.
• Net Zero Carbon in Operation.
• Create a welcoming environment that fosters a sense of ownership among students, and the whole community who use the building and facilities.
• Offer indoor and outdoor spaces that will encourage community involvement, and increased participation through its positive image.
